Book Reviews of The BFG

Book Review: A charming little tale
Summary: 4 Stars

I read this book to my son, who is a bright 8 year old. We liked it. In some sense it is a traditional children's story, with a fairy tale type view point, some suspense, and a happy ending.

The giant's language is probably the most entertaining part. A bit reminiscent of Seuss, Dahl creates a giant who speaks something like English, but with all kinds of fractured words and expressions.

The giant is an inspiring character, resolved to eat the repulsant snozzcombers rather than people, which are the preferred diet of his fellows -- and who occupies himself bring dreams to people at night.

In some sense the ending is a bit predictable, but charming nevertheless.

Book Review: A fantastic book for your collection!
Summary: 5 Stars

The BFG is a fiction book about the Big Friendly Giant and a little girl named Sophie and how they conquered 8 man-eating giants. By the end of the book, the giants were caged up and hauled back to England by helicopters.
Sophie played her wonderful tricks on the giants. Sophie found out that being smart is better than being strong.
This book is great because the things that happened in it are all so much like fantasy that you want to be there on the spot with the BFG and Sophie. The part when the BFG took Sophie to Dreamland is my favorite. I think everybody should read this book.

Book Review: A good book
Summary: 3 Stars

I thought this was a good book to read. I couldn't put it down for a while.
The first thing was that the BFG took Sophie from her bed and didn't eat her. That wasn't nice but it turns into a good thing.
The second thing that makes the BFG nic is that he would rather eat a discusting snozzcumber than humans. He says that he doesn't like them but he doesn't want humans to get hurt.
The BFG is also nice by going out and catchind dreams and then going and give them to sleeping people.
The BFG is the nicest giant out of the nine there are. It might br because that he is the runt.
My faverate characters is the BFG because that he won't eat or hurt a human. And because he would rather have Sophie be free instead of being with him
If I could change something about this book I wouldn't because it is good the way it is.
I would recommend this book for peolpe that like nice and short bookes. This would probily be a good book for any body.

Book Review: A great book by Roald Dahl
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a fantastic book about Sophie (an orphan) gets captured by a 24 foot freindly giant. But will this giant ever eat anything except snozzcumbers, a disgusting food. Or will they be able to stop the other nine human eating giants. Mark my words. Buy this book today!
