Book Reviews of The Beatles AnthologyBook Review: Awesome book. Summary: 5 Stars
I got this book for my Step Dad for Christmas and he totally loves it. Lots of pictures and lots of information.
Book Review: BORING BORING BORING Summary: 1 Stars
Anyone who is even slightly familiar with the Beatles from any number of past books will learn nothing new here. I have never found a Beatles book as boring as this one, I found myself praying the book would end. Paul can put you to sleep with one paragraph, Ringo is forever trying to defend himself as a great drummer (He wasn't even the greatest drummer in the Beatles) and George is so pompous that I stopped reading him about halfway through to get to the end more quickly.Anyone who wants to know the real story of the Beatles would be far better served by "The lives of John Lennon" by Albert Goldman.
Book Review: Beatles Anthology is fab! Summary: 5 Stars
I have read them all... I have seen them all.. this is the most fabulous of all Beatles books! It is "them" talking frankly which I always love... and it's rare to find! There are tons and tons of clear, and I mean clearer than I have ever seen photos... many that I've never seen before! Tons of photos that are crystal clear and from all the years! This book is fantastic, as Amazon.com has it so inexpensively priced! I ordered it and it came almost overnight!
Book Review: Beatles Rock Again Summary: 5 Stars
If you grew up alongside the Mersey while these four great kids from Liverpool were setting new standards in the art of music you won't want to miss the chance to get their perspective on those magical years. Sit down with a coffee, your favourite Beatles tracks, and relive the dream. Read aloud the passages and imagine yourself in their shoes.
Book Review: Beatles Very Pro-Union! Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent pictures and quotes. But the biggest surprise for me was realizing how pro-union the Beatles really were! I guess coming from Liverpool they really appreciated the importance of having unions to protect workers' basic rights. From their manager to their bottle boy--this was one unionized band! Go Beatles! Go union!
