Book Review: Best Childrens' Series Ever!
Summary: 5 Stars

I really enjoyed this book. I had so much fun collecting them while growing up. On the back of each book, there are pictures of more Berenstain Bear books. The key was to get all of them. The biggest factor though, is that they all express values and morals that are important for all children. This book in particular is a contemporary topic of interest in our society today. The book deals with important issues on their levels. It is wonderfully written so that children can understand. I think that this book is suitable from two two years of age to eight years young. I was always told at both home and school to be aware of my surroundings, but I was so young. I never fully understood the dangers they spoke of. Anyways, when I read this book fifteen years ago, it really hit home. It was like that with each and every book of the series. Especially, the one about being scared of the dark. If any parent has a child that is dealing with any Berenstain Bear topics, try sitting down and reading the book with them. If not, read it regardless. They are classics.

Book Review: Strangers
Summary: 4 Stars

I love all of the books in this series because I think it teachs good lessons to children. This one explains how it is not good to talk to strangers. Although I do not agree with that lesson, some times kids have to talk to strangers, for example if they were to get lost. But it is still a good book.

Book Review: great book for preschoolers
Summary: 4 Stars

Book was informative, had step by step "rules" for the cubs to follow, and had a story line for the reader. The analogy of the "apple" looking fine on the outside but could be a rotten one on the inside,as well as the implications from the newspaper headlines was too advanced and confusing for my 3 year old. These comparisons would work best with 5+ age group. I would recommend this book but for slightly older children.

Book Review: A Great Lesson In Strangers!
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is an amazing book. It first starts with Sister Bear talking to everyone she saw in her path. She told Papa Bear she talks to strangers. Papa said it's not a good idea. The lesson is, don't talk to strangers and don't go anywhere with strangers. Because of a mistake, Brother Bear talks to a stranger about his radio controlled airplane. But Sister Bear stopped him. My favorite part of this book is the back page, "Brother And Sister's Rules For Cubs." Kids should get this book because it's a very good lesson!

Book Review: The best book on strangers for young children
Summary: 5 Stars

I used this book about 6 years ago to help teach my child about "stranger danger". This book helps to teach about strangers without scaring children away from everyone and everything. All the Berenstain Books are definately worth reading to youngsters - they all teach a lesson or two in a very positive, easy to understand way that is suitable for a wide age range. Most of them also make excellent bedtime stories (I didn't think this one was good for bedtime) and often help children to open up about a subject and discuss what they are thinking or feeling. They are also very good First Books for the cild to read as they get older. I highly recommend this and all of the Berenstain Bears books. My child outgrew them and had given them away, so I am now purchasing a few to give as a Christmas present to a co-workers 3 year old who I think will enjoy them as much as my child did.
