Well it's about time! For those of you who have been plagued by the dogma of DNA (genetic determinism or fatalism) will find this book beyond inspiring! We have been told by western biology that the DNA is the at the heart of who we are, with the DNA in the cell nucleus being the brain of what activates and makes the cell function and control the rest of the body's activities. From this model (actual called the 'DOGMA OF DNA' in Biology teachings) ALL life is DNA in motion and we are genetic beings with all our diseases and traits (physical & mnetal) pre-determined. This model/paradigm has become a key part of the very structured and defined mechanistic biological pharmaceutical medicine we see domniating the West today (sigh).BUT in this book Lipton has flipped this notion upside with the profound discovery that the DNA in the nucleus is in fact is NOT the brain or determining factor of the body. Lipton deconstructs the dogma by showing the mem-BRANE of the cell is the brain that is driving and determining the cells activities which equal the rest of the body and its functions. The key here is the signals that are recieved by the cells mem-BRANE. These signals consist of input from the environment but mainly the thoguhts of the individual. He shows that when we become response-able and can pro-actively use our thoughts to cohere with the cells activities we have profound influence over their behavior. THOUGHTS INFLUENCE BIOLOGY, now who chooses your thoughts?? When one controls the signals they control the cells and this changes everything we thought we knew about cell, the human body and ultimately dis-ease.
I found this book to be an important piece of the 'beyond the BLEEP' new science information that truly shows how 'our thoughts control our reality'. The BLEEP opens up the dialogue but with not much advice on how to now engage this perspective. Lipton's book is a beacon for it truly shows how this revision of perspective can radically empower YOU to know how and why you are able to change your life. Unlock the power of your mind as it is a key piece of opening up to higher levels of operation inetranlly and exteranlly.

New Science Urges R&D/Pharma to Adopt a New Paradigm Based on Quantum Theory~
Dr. Bruce Lipton has left no loopholes in describing what we now know about the brain and the mind/body connection as a result of both Quantum physics and the unexpected outcomes of the human genome project...which has set the pharmaceutical industry back at least ten years. He delivers the facts and hard science which create a strategic imperative for a shift from old paradigm Newtonian based research to an entirely new paradigm based on quantum mechanics and epigenetics.
This book is a courageous and eloquent dissertation on what is soon to be recognized as classic leading indicator on the future of Research & Development in the pharmaceutical industry...in order to survive and thrive in the years to come but most importantly deliver the highest value to their patients. This is a 'must read' for anyone working in the Pharmaceutical Industry in order to understand what the future calls for given the new science of epigenetics.

Genes do not dictate biology...it is our response to environmental events or signals based upon our programmed belief system that create our life experiences. We now have a proven scientific and quantifiably measurable modality to change limiting, self sabotaging subconscious 'programs' into empowering and affirming subconscious programs in order to achieve our goals and visions for our ideal life experience.
Like the human cell which responds to the environmental signals, we too respond to environmental signals in our world in accordance to our already established belief system. By changing our subconscious beliefs we have the power and the responsibility to create our desired experience in life. The ramifications for personal and professional development are so pervasive and scientifically validated that we cannot ignore this new information. Nor can the Pharmaceutical Industry ignore the strategic imperative to create a new paradigm~ leveraging this new information in order to provide the best health care with the fewest side effects, and highest profitability for all stakeholders.
It remains to be seen which of the pharmaceutical giants will step up to the plate and lead the way as a trailblazer embracing and putting into practice the 'new science' and the increased viability and value that will flow through to all stakeholders...most importantly the patients or end users of their products/ prescriptions. I invite questions and comments and I challenge one of the big Pharma companies to step up to the plate and lead the pack into the future creating greater health and healthcare!
I applaud Dr. Bruce Lipton for his courageous publication, proclamation of truth, which we all 'know' but has not yet been fully acknowledged or embraced. Book Review: Revolutionary!

A truly magnificent book! One of the most important I've ever read. Lipton takes what could be a dry subject and moistens it with humor and clear, clean explication. More significant, Lipton's research and conclusions stand traditional biology (what I learned in school; you too, probably) on its head. He is one of the few scientists brave enough to see and acknowledge the spiritual aspects of our humanness. In the Epilogue, Lipton says "In the end, these cellular insights serve to emphasize the wisdom of spiritual teachers throughout the ages." This from a guy who taught at medical schools! This is like Copernicus telling us that in fact the earth revolves around the sun.
Altogether, a very warm and personal telling of the essential human story. I lent one of my copies to a friend. Now I have to replace it, because her mother snatched it from her and isn't giving it back!

Dr. Lipton writes in a simple and fascinating fashion within his field - that of cellular biology. When I had finished reading his book, I was absolutely convinced that he is on the right track in his analysis of how we perceive and function. However, he didn't complete the book by telling one how to unleash the "powers" available. See Rob Williams work for that!
An excellent work on biology - with little to do with self-help.
