Book Review: Horse lovers book, young boy meets fearsome stallion
Summary: 5 Stars
A horse lover's paradise, I first read this when I was around 10. The movie does not really do it justice, there's nothing better than an imagination to give pictures of what is happening.Young boy and Stallion in shipwreck, both survive, the boy befriends the horse who starts of as being vicious and mean but somehow ends up allowing the boy to ride him!
High adventure, desert island, beautiful horse. I dreamed of this horse for ages.
First book in a series of around 13/14, reprinted several times, always enchants people.
A little Black Beauty esque but NOT from the horses point of view.
Quite a short story, but leaves you wanting more by the end of the book. Good job there are more in the series. Reminiscient of Elynne Mitchells Silver Brumby though that is also from the horses point of view and he is never captured.
Great book !
