Book Review: A Must Read for Anyone Who Feels Called to Marriage at Some Point in Life

A fantastic read for anyone at any stage in life---single, dating, engaged, newly-weds, or seasoned married people! The book revolves around the idea that God wouldn't give us these wonderful gifts (sexuality) without telling us how to use them. I'm a college student reading this book for my (all women) Bible study, but I would absolutely recommend it for engaged or married couples or single men as well. I felt a bit bored at first by the dating advice (as the book is written for people in different stages of relationships) but it would be GREAT for a young adult entering the dating world for the first time or struggling to figure out what kind of person they're looking for. The dating/courting advice is sound--not overly conservative (a la "I Kissed Dating Goodbye") yet very Biblical, responsible, and based off of the authors many years of counseling, pastoring and personal experience.
The marital conflict resolution/keeping the romance alive (some of this is for marrieds only obviously) chapters are EXTREMELY useful even for people who aren't married yet. His advice revolves around compassion, humility, consideration, and Christ-like (and Solomon-like) love. I've really enjoyed this book.
His explication of Song of Songs is pretty cool too--no wonder young Hebrew boys were forbidden to read it until they were older. :-)
