Book Reviews of The Book of Secrets: Keys to Love and MeditationBook Review: Utterly amazing... Summary: 5 StarsDon't listen to the reviews, pick it up for yourself. Even if you end up hating it, you owe it to yourself to at least check it out. This is a book that changes lives, period. But it's too powerful to be for everyone. It's one of those books that you might receive or buy, let it sit around for months or years w/out even looking at it, and one day pick it up and finally realize how amazing it truly is. Most books philosophize and intellectualize about spirituality; this book (and Tantra as a whole) shows you HOW to get there. Moreover, this book is filled with amazing psychological insight. Even one who isn't necessarily interested in the spiritual aspect should value it just for the incredible insight into human nature and it's habits, compulsions, and tendencies.
Book Review: TO THOSE WHO DO NOT TRUST IN OSHO Summary: 5 StarsIt has been a little over a year since I first started reading Osho. I noticed that there are three people who have posted reviews which are not in favor of Osho and his teachings. Osho does not teach us to feed our desire but rather wants us to become more aware of how we are creating our own misery. Simply to cut off our desirs does not help us to understand them as we would be fighting with ourselves, and that is a battle we're bound to lose. All we can do is become more and more aware and less and less indulged, eventually replacing ignorance with understanding. How could it happen any other way? If any of those who oppose his teachings would be so kind as to email or im me it would be greatly appreciated. I do not wish to argue with you but am searching for truth.
Book Review: A Conjurer's Work Summary: 1 StarsThere are two ways to awaken the consciousness: positively, through cleaning the mind of impurity, and negatively, through enslaving oneself to one's own animal mind. There are many teachers who claim to teach the positive method, who speak of love and truth and beauty, and yet secretly they enslave their students through desire, lust, pride and fear. Thus there are saints and their are demons, and both use similar methods, terms and techniques, but they march in opposite directions. Both awaken the consciousness. Both perceive beyond the physical realm. And to us, who are so asleep and so naive, the demon can look like a saint. Do not be fooled by sweet smiles and honey-coated explanations. Be demanding in your search for inner knowledge: it is your right as a soul. Most of all, you should be able to confirm the truth of any teaching for yourself, in yourself, and that experience should be congruent with the teachings of all the truly great teachers: Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, etc. For more information, read the works of Samael Aun Weor.
Book Review: Important book Summary: 5 StarsI recommend this book highly. It takes a subject in which I never thought I would be interested (Tantra) and clearly explains methods to bring calm to your life. It is a topic more important than ever. I discovered the book within a "recommended reading" section of the video game "Table Tennis Pro." At the time I thought it strange to recommend a book in a video game. Now I don't.
Book Review: This is "THE BOOK" If you are interested in meditation Summary: 5 StarsAfter a few vain attempts in understanding meditation finally I have found a source where meditation is explained very clearly and exhaustively. Each chapter contains meditation techniques and each technique is elaborately discussed followed by a chapter on questions on those techniques. This is the manual for any meditator. You can choose the method that appeals to you. And not only is the how to do a meditation exercise explained but the why is also explained. Of course the why is difficult to understand as it is supposed to be something that one can experience and not understand. Generaly people who meditate and teach meditation have no clue why they are doing it. It is just something passed on and followed without thinking. You will have to be very patient and keen to read and digest the discussions. For the past two weeks I am still experimenting with the first chapter on breathing meditations. Enjoy!
