Book Review: An unknown massacre in American history.
Summary: 4 Stars
I complement the author for being forthcoming on an unknown massacre in American history. This event has been hushed up not only in Oklahoma but also in the rest of the country. This is indeed a shame, and this book's publication as well as other material will prevent this from happening again. Madigan writes a compelling book about what was lost during this May 30, 1921 event. A prosperous minority was burned out of their house and home. Murders were commited. Madigan puts a face on those murdered. This was a far deadlier event than the community burned out in Florida.
As the author relates, American history is not all glorious. This is one of the blights of American history and the story should be told. Only knowledge will prevent this from happening again. A good read.
