Book Review: Nearly as exciting as watching the Bus in action

Like any autobiography you buy it because you are interested in the person. Their career, their personal life, the ups, the downs, etc and although the book is quite short you do get what you pay for.
I would love to say i was REALLY excited as i read the book and i was MOST of the time but at times i got the feeling that something was lacking. It struck me that maybe Jerome Bettis' spirit was lost slightly with the book being co-authored or maybe Jerome's own personality leant towards the more reserved side.
That said the book is a fantastic read about a fantastic individual. Bettis started out where many afro-americans start out, in "the ghetto" but then you are taken on Jerome's, at times, shocking journey from juvenile delinquent and possible future gangbanger to NFL hero. Jerome Bettis has used his fame to help many people and i'm glad to have read such a great book about a truly inspirational person.
Jerome could have ended up as another statistic of black on black crime but thankfully he made the right choices to have had an exceptional career in pro sport. Jerome thanks for writing this book
