Book Review: Unsurprisingly incomprehensible

Okay, any book written by James Shelby Downard is hardly going to be 'easy reading', but I thought this would be an interesting one... I'm sorry to say that after several attempts, I still haven't managed to make it to the end. The book jumps around so maniacally I constantly found myself flicking back several pages to find out how the hell he'd arrived at certain points (I must say, in some cases, I don't think he knew either), and the anecdotes contained within it are questionable to say the least. Maybe JSD is having a great laugh at our expense: "Who on earth would believe my stories about an eight year old boy outrunning sinister figures in the American south by doing a clever bit of tinkering with a gas pipe? Ha! These fools are actually PAYING to read this!" Or maybe he really believes it himself. Either way, it makes it no easier to read and despite the amazing antics that pepper every page, I was quite honestly bored.
