I'm glad to see other reviewers rate this book as highly as I do. As the first in the Discworld series, The Colour of Magic introduces us into the fantasy world which Pratchett has conjured up. The Discworld seems to be in the Earths image, only the image has been hugely distorted by one of those strange shaped mirors you get at the fair.In this book we are introduced to several characters whom shall reappear in later books with Rincewind, the unlikely hero of several Discworld books, still going strong almot ten years after this was published.
I know there's not much about thew book here, but the other reviews cover it. I just thought I would join in the general praise for the Discworld
