Book Reviews of The Color of Magic

Book Review: One of the best books ever!
Summary: 5 Stars

The Colour of Magic is the first in a series of Discworld books. It focuses it's energy into the 2 characters of Rincewind (a failed wizard) and Twoflower (a tourist, formerly an 'inn-sewer-ants' sailsman). Together they have a great adventure that includes, dragons (as any other science fiction book), wizards (of course) and normal every day slum people. The whole series focuses on the foibles and muck ups of Magic! Once you get into this book you'll find it hard to put it down.

Book Review: Side Splitting!
Summary: 5 Stars

Hi! When I started to read this I found it a bit hard but as the the story goes on it all came clear, and it just got funnier and funnier! The name of the town is crazy, Ankh-Morpork(I say it Anker More Pork!)And poor old Rince wind.(you'll know what I mean!)

Book Review: an awesome book!
Summary: 5 Stars

i would rate this books amoung my fantasy favourites THE HOBBIT, LORD OF THE RINGS and ERIK THE VIKING!!! it has very funny british humour, and is very different from the usual AD&D fantasy because there are no orcs and the world is flat - yes, flat! i really recommend!!!

Book Review: My Family is converted.
Summary: 5 Stars

The audio book is great.Tony Roberts does a brilliant job of making the characters come to life.I have never read a Terry Pratchett book and thought I would give an audio book a try as a busy Farmers wife and Home Educationg mum with little time to sit down.My whole family have now spent most of the day SITTING DOWN listerning to this most spellbinding funny story. The wonderful discription of the Disc Worlds and its inhabbitants and the adventuers are great.Even my husband who during the foot and mouth crisis has had trouble with smiling has started to show that his face muscles can make a laugh. This should be standard listerning in all milking parlours across britain

Book Review: Start your Discworld journey here
Summary: 4 Stars

The Colour of Magic is the first discworld book. It was written 18 years ago and obviously Terry Pratchett's realisation of his wonderful creation and his writing style have progressed noticably since then. The Colour of Magic remains, however, an unique and witty introduction to everyone's favourite world-on-a-turtle. Give CoM a chance and you'll enjoy it immensely, in the knowledge that you will have entered into the greatest series of books in modern times, and that things can only get better.
