Book Review: Quality collection that will last from generation to geneation

No doubt if you are reading this review then you will know something about the wondrous adventures that Calvin and his toy Tiger go through. Previous reviews will divulge into the comic value of the strips, but I wanted to convince any long time fan that this is a must buy for sentimentality reasons. I have no doubt these will one day be collectors items as they are beautifully presented and printed.Book Review: Bill Watterson rules!

Calvin and Hobbes are absolutely fabulous. Me, and my kids have been reading their comic books again and again until they started falling apart. So this Complete Calvin and Hobbes box was the perfect gift for christmas last year. This 6 year old and his stuffed tiger make us laugh, think, (almost) cry, wonder, ... time and time again. For me it was a true revolation to encounter calvin and Hobbes over a decadea ago and I've been reading them ever since and I just can't seem to get tired of them. Funny, warm and intelligent. The adventures of a six year boy and his friend tiger are landmark in a american literature.
With this box set, these wonderful stories get the treatment they surely deserve. You can't go wrong with this and the price is very reasonable if you consider what you get in return. Best value for any 100euros I've spent.
I've met people of very different ages and occupations who are taken by Calvin adn Hobbes. But then again, who wouldn't like to be a six year old again, every now and then?

Calvin & Hobbes is a cult comic with the privilege of having been kept well clear of the harms of mass merchandising. It is a comic that only belongs to the page.
This collection was put together with the care and respect the works deserve. It is the perfect present for those who already know the comic and are yearning for a luxury bound edition of all the strips they had and had not.
I discovered C&H by chance when browsing a comic book store. Calvin's despotism made it a sure hit buy for me and lightened my murkiest of days as well as provided helpful quoting material when in delicate situations.
Before I was given this collection I was lucky enough to read the C&H collection booklets in order so I saw the characters develop and, little by little, learnt to appreciate the caring and self-reflective mind of their creator and illustrator, Bill Watterson.
