This is the story of an Irish village called Shancarrig. The book tells different stories of the lives of people living in the village, each chapter gives the story of a different character, some likeable some not so. If you like short stories you ll love this... it's a long story spanning over 20 years written in the style of several short stories. The final chapter gives us the run down on what happened to all the characters mentioned in the short stories.
Typical Maeve Binchy novel, if you like her writing you ll enjoy this book.
