Book Review: "Being honest" Let the truth be told.
Summary: 5 Stars
I named this review of the The Covenant with Black America "being Honest". And after reading this most serious addition to the cause of enpowering Black America I realized that from the opening introduction by Brother Tavis Smiley that this book was carefully crafted and statistically proven. The Covenant can and should in my opinion be used as vehicle for community action organizations, awarness groups and accountability not only around the country, but globally as well. After reading half of the document I felt compelled to contrast it with the efforts of the aftermath of the Million Man March in October of 1995, I was present at the event and I was a teenager. The sediment brought me back to the ideological aspects of the many messages of self-help, fullfilling the roles of being fathers and leaders of our children, community-based activism, a stoppage of violence and drug abuse, the death of disrespecting Black women, the causation of this events & etc. The book is a must read for any and everyone who is somebody!
