Book Reviews of The Crystal BibleBook Review: Another good thing in a small package Summary: 4 Stars
As a manager for a metaphysical/"new age" shop I see a lot of books and this book is one that I recommend frequently. It is a great little book that, while not as comprehensive as Melody's Love Is In The Earth series, is perfect for people just getting started with crystals as well as long time students/practitioners.
Ms. Hall introduces us to over 100 mineral friends and their varying formations with suggestions for a variety of uses. She also includes a quick reference section on chakras, auras, crystals and the zodiac signs, and laying on of stones that is very nice.
There is one thing I felt was a bit lacking and that is the illustrations and a few photos. For illustrations I would use books by Katrina Raphaell or Melody as they are a little clearer. Overall this is a very good investment for anyone interested in crystals and their healing properties and the language is a easier to understand than some. It's also much more convenient to carry to the crystal shop! Just make sure you let the sales people know it's yours & not one of theirs.
Happy New Year!
May your best day of 2004 be your worst day of 2005!
Book Review: Both a Compact and Comprehensive Resource Summary: 5 Stars
The Crystal Bible: A Definitive Guide to Crystals is a must have for anyone interested in learning about and healing with crystals. It is comprehensive, covering almost every aspect of working with the mineral kingdom possible but at the same time an easy read and a handy reference tool.
It guides you on how to select and use crystals and covers information such as using crystals for chakra healing and also grids. I love the appendices of the book, especially the quick reference guide for crystal selection for various ailments. What really won me over was the extensive crystal directory, which included almost every crystal known. The pictures are clear and beautiful and the description of each crystal and its variations are informative and thorough without seeming overwhelming. There is also an extensive description of crystal shapes such as wands, spheres and geodes to name a few and their various uses.
The compact size of the book allows you to take it anywhere and I continually find myself refering to it for information. I was quite happy that I purchased this book.

BOOK IS VERY GOOD. ILLUSTRATIONS AND PHOTOS HELP ALOT. GOOD INFORMATION. EASY TO USE
Book Review: Consult often! Summary: 5 Stars
I don't know what I would do without this book in my collection. Each and every listing in this book (200+) has full colour photographs of the stone/crystal in question, making it an indispensable resource for identifying unlabeled specimens. With a bit of study, you can wow other people by your ability to recognize a stone by just peeking at it - the pictures are really that great!
Listings include information on well known and obscure stones alike, natural and manufactured, detailing metaphysical and healing properties, letting you know just how to use/where to place them to use them to their full potential. The properties of different colours/shapes of stones are also covered.
This will be a book that you will consult often. Worth every penny!
