Book Review: Absolutely the Best!

I own quite a few embroidery stitch books and have checked out many from the library searching for a book that would show me the basic stitches and many of the more intricate ones. None seemed to be the answer as they either never had enough sample stitches or they were done so sloppy it looked like a beginner had worked them. This book has many stitches, multiple full color photos and written descriptions. This book is all you need to take up hand embroidery. Although there are no projects as such in the book, there are many photos of finished projects that have the finshed stitches in them and they are all beautiful.
Lately in crafts there tends to be a trend to deconstructed items, uneven embroidery stitches, etc. If that is the kind of crafting you like to do, this isn't your kind of book. If you are wanting to take your embroidery to the best it can--blue ribbon quality, then this is your book. I was amazed at the beautiful flowers that you can make with the different stitches different types of threads. I'm looking forward into putting this book into practice.
