Book Review: Great guide to pro grappling

This thick book falls into two sections. Firstly there's a history of the sport right from its early days in the 19th century to the WWE dominated scene of today. This is quite comprehensive and includes lots of black and white pics of long-forgotten stars.
The second half is an A-Z of fighters. Not all the entries include photos and the potted biogs are pretty short, often just a sentence or two.
Perhaps this book should have been titled "The Encyclopedia of US ProWrestling", as only a handful of wrestlers from Mexico, Britain or Japan are mentioned.
Overall the level of research is impressive and the book strikes a good balance been recording the history of the sport and showcasing more recent stars.
