Book Review: Simply common sense

Although not obese myself, I need to lose some weight, and have tried (unsuccessfully) to lose weight and keep it off on most of the currently popular diet fads around. However, my French in-laws seem to be able to indulge in all the things we have been told are bad for us over the last 30 years yet remain thin, cellulite-free, healthy and have none of the health issues those on "low-fat" diets encounter.

For the first time, a food book that makes real sense of the crazy way we are eating, and if you follow Dr Clower's advice you can be sure to enjoy higher quality, richer food and still lose weight. I have been following his recommendations of eating for only 3 days, yet already I feel thinner! And I am eating cheese, wholemilk yoghurts, full fat milk, butter, cream and healthy fats. His recommendations fit in exactly with the way the French eat, and although I am married into their culture, I never understood how and why they could eat so decadently yet still stay so slim. Now I know.
