Book Reviews of The Fat Smash Diet: The Last Diet You'll Ever Need

Book Review: A Good Beginning
Summary: 3 Stars

" I have read this book and in my opinion it has a good beginning with the detox program and encouraging people to mostly eat fruits and veggies and no animal protein to kick-start the weight loss.. Even moving on to the next phase is still a good and healthy alternative and great for weight loss. But the book and the program from Phase 3 on are in my opinion, not a healthy way of living for the rest of ones life. The lost weight will inevitably come back and temporary weight loss is of no benefit. A good book that does not have this drawback and is much more motivating, scientific and convincing is Eat To Live by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. Dieters should realize that in order to achieve permanent success in the weight loss arena we have to adopt a plan for the rest of our life, not just for the moment. The more we learn about how to create a satisfying diet and lifestyle we can stick with forever the higher the chances of successful and permanent weight loss. entitled Eat to Live far out weighs this book because it not only provides a way to lose weight quickly and easily, but provides education behind the why of certain foods being best for you and why certain foods are very toxic. Also Dr. Fuhrmans book is just not a book, the doctor provides a support network on his web sight that is there for me and anyone else who follows his plan, on a daily basis. He also provides very user friendly recipes great for everyone in my family.

Book Review: A Good Book but Hard to Follow for Busy People
Summary: 4 Stars

Let me start saying that I have read a lot of books on weight loss and I have my own experience in the weight loss game, having being able to loss more than 200 lbs and shrink my waist (from 44 to 32) in about eight months, and I have been able to keep in good shape for more than 6 years.

I believe that for a Weight loss program to be effective in the long term it has to be realistic and it has to be practical and easy to follow, so one can stick to it in order to gradually obtain what we ultimately want: Burn unwanted body fat.

I found that the book dieting and exercising plan and guidelines are too rigorous, what can be a problem for anyone not used to train or watch his/her diet, but that wanting to star improving its quality of life. The food limitations can be dramatic and the exercise goal is train intensively for one whole hour five days a week, in addition to add a lifting weight routine at least twice a week. This could be just unrealistic for most people, either because they are not use to training or just because their family and/or work duties do not have that much time to spare. The changes in life style must be made gradually if we want to succeed in establishing those changes as habits for life. At the end you may even surpass your own expectations but you have to star with little steps changes. This is not a bad book, but it could be hard to follow.

Since you are checking this book I have to guess that you are interested in losing weight, getting in better shape or just be healthier, so I will share my own experience in the weight lose game:

My own successful personal experience in weight loss is based on strategies to boost metabolism. Don't stress yourself, eat frequently, eat just what you need each time, and choose wisely what you are going to eat, supplement your diet. Yet simple and it works. I loss more than 200 lbs and shrink my waist (from 44 to 32), and I have been able to keep in good shape since then. Every single aspect of my life has improved since then.

Based on my own personal experience I can recommend another tools that you may want to consider, to establish your own strategies for boosting your metabolism, loosing weight, and even more important keeping that weight off. They are:

- "Ultrametabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss" by Mark Hyman. A practical a more realistic plan for weigh loss.
- "The ABS Diet", which is another very practical, readable, insightful, and inspirational book.
- A Body Fat Monitor or Scale. This will help you monitor your progress, to assure that the weight you are loosing is fat (fat lost = increased metabolism) and not muscle, water or bone mass (decreased metabolism).
- A Heart Rate Monitor Wrist Watch. This is an excellent tool that will help you monitor and control your Heart Rate in order to keep yourself in a burning fat state (increased metabolism).
- "Heart Monitor Training for the Complete Idiot", a primer on the use of Heart Rate Monitors for health improvement or weight control.

If you want to star focusing only on your diet, the first two may be worth considering. If you exercise, or want to start doing it right, the last threee are for you. If you do both, all the recommended options can improve your results.

I am 39 years old, With the help of the tools I just mentioned not only I went fro size 44 to size 32 pants, but also obtained substantial benefits that included weight control, cardiovascular improvements, lowered blood pressure, and improved muscular-skeletal strength and flexibility, but also the myriad of mental and psychological benefits derived from being in the best shape of my life.

Keep in mind that loosing those extra pounds are just part of the equation, you also need a plan that helps you keeping them off. Anything you choose to do that increases your metabolism is in the right direction. A high metabolic rate will keep you burning calories (and fat) all day long.

Book Review: A PERFECT PROGRAM!
Summary: 5 Stars

I can only say that this diet is something that has changed my life forever. I was skeptical at first since there are so many diets on the market, but my friends all lost so much weight on the program that I decided to give it a try. I couldn't've been more surprised. I've already lost 20 pounds in just 6 weeks, and I've dropped 3 sizes. I feel like a new person. I found information about the book that everyone should read:

Diets don't fail people, rather people fail diets. The FAT SMASH Diet is a program that will never fail you if you open your mind to the great possibilities, believe in yourself, and give a full commitment. FAT SMASH is purposely designed to be a forgiving program that is as much about helping people make the necessary lifestyle changes to lead a healthier, happier, and longer life, as it is about getting rid of all of the extra weight that only increases your odds of developing devastating medical complications such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease. I'm a realist. Most people have a difficult time following diets to the letter of the law, slipping every once in a while when they can't resist the urges or when they've reached a plateau and feel like the weight is no longer coming off. FAT SMASH understands this and allows you to dial back into the program, by returning to phase I, getting back on course, then resuming the program where you left off.

FAT SMASH is specifically designed to be a 90-day program with four phases that will ultimately re-wire your body and its relationship to food and physical activity for the rest of your life. At the end of the 90 days, you will have made small, but important adjustments not only in your food consumption, but your understanding and attitude towards food and the way you view the importance of physical activity in maintaining a healthy life. Each phase builds upon the previous phase like the levels of a pyramid that support the ones above it. The foundation and its integrity are what allow the peak to stand, so you must be careful in constructing the building blocks so that they might be as strong as possible to allow you to reach the top of your goals.

FAT SMASH is about smashing the bad habits and demons of the past and constructing a new and improved you now ready to take on new challenges and passions while fully enjoying the gift of life. This is a plan that will help people trying to lose just 10 pounds as well as people trying to lose 200 pounds. I'm extremely proud of this program because it teaches the correct principles of eating healthy, but not to be afraid of having a slice of cake or chocolate chip cookies every now and again. Almost everything in life is about finding a balance and doing things in moderation. These are the underlying principles of THE FAT SMASH DIET.
