Great book.
Really easy reading. It gives the reader an idea of the mechanics of the brain in this case the female brain. I personally enjoy this book it gave me a lot to think about, and it help me understand why females react differently than males in different situations. As a avid reader of psychology and philosophy I disagree in some aspects of freewill that the author describes in this book. I truly believe that we are a combination of nature and nurture. If you believe that all of our actions are the result of chemicals reactions in our brain this is a book for you. Over all I like this book and I would recommend reading it to anyone that is interested in Gender Studies, Women's Studies, Psychology and Sociology.
Book Review: Good for the non-professional

For people without a background in psychological or neurological research, this is a wonderfully accessible read. The narrative is presented in a linear form, from infant to elderly. The emphasis, to me, appeared to be on the reproductive and menopausal periods, but that was fine with me, because of the group I identify with. What is truly the meat of the book, as far as I'm concerned, is the extensive reference section - if you are in to looking at specicfic studies, this is a terrific road map to guide you to many interesting places.Book Review: I can't say enough good about this book!
