Book Reviews of The Field Guide (The Spiderwick Chronicles, Book 1)

Book Review: The Spiderwick Chronicles
Summary: 5 Stars

This book, which I have read is about three ordinary children. Their names are Jared, Simon, and Mallory Grace. Their mother, Helen Grace took their great- aunt Lucinda house. The three childred finds a book and they begin to read it. They learned all kinds of faeries, what is good and what is evil? And something happens to them that will change their life. The three Grace children then go on an extraordinary adventure.
I would recommend this book to other kids should read this book if they loves adventures, battles, and a lot of fantasy. I enjoy this book very much and you should enjoy this book too.

Book Review: I finally met five stars by James from cutchogue n.y
Summary: 5 Stars

Boring no, Intensive yes. This is a book with extreme action and, fun packed cliff-hanging events. The Field guide was written with kids in mind.
The author is one of my favorite. He has written many many great stories. Spider wick 1 is one of them. Though there is no main character. The tales ravine around Jared Grace his sister and his brother.
The main part of the story is the father of the 3 kids vanished. Their overwhelming expenses made them move to another home. That home had an angry Bogart. A Bogart is a animal that can be very helpful. When you make it mad he can be very mean and make a huge mess at night. That is what happened to this family. One Jared Grace was caught snooping around when the Bogart attacked the kitchen and made a mess. The mom caught him and thought it was him but he got punished. The messes appear at least 3 times.
One of the most exciting times was when the girl wakes up with her hair tied to her headboard. The mom thought that it was Jared because he and his sister always had been fighting. Also they were caught with Jared's sister holding him up in the air the night before.
The exciting theme of this story was how the Bogart made away with making the messes and not getting caught by the kids or the mother.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves mischievous stories and anyone who is over the age of ten or in 3rd grade.

Book Review: Don't Even Bother with Just Book 1 - Buy the Boxed Set!
Summary: 5 Stars

After much protest, my son broke down and read the first book of this series, The Field Guide. I had already read it and knew that he was in for a real treat. For the very first time, my reticent reader ASKED for me to buy him a book (Book 2) with the same enthusiasm usually reserved for Yu-Gi-Oh cards or Bionicles. What's even more amazing, he sat down immediately to write his book report... on his own!

This is a great book and a fast read. I already shelled at the $9.95 for Book 1 but it will be donated to the classroom library. Can't wait for the boxed set to arrive!

Book Review: Spiderwick Book 1 The Field Guide
Summary: 4 Stars

It was good because I like when they find the field guide and Thimbletack is a bogart not a brownie. But I personally like 2,3,4,and
5 better.I could tell my teacher liked it,she even told us(really). My class loved it. We would pray for our teacher to read another one.The book really had a lot of magic!

Summary: 5 Stars

THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES The Field Guide

If you read this book you will fall in love. I know you would say, "Oh, it's a book." But not this book! This book inspired me to read more. When you read this book, you will want to read the next page and then the next. You can't stop reading it! When you're done the book, you will want to read the next book and then the next. This book will take you into a different world with three kids Simon, Jared and Mallory Grace. A world where fairies, brownies and boggarts exist. I loved this book and I think you will too!
