Book Reviews of The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your MateBook Review: A Key To Understanding The Opposite Sex Summary: 4 StarsDr. Gary Chapman has written a very practical book here that unlocks the doors to understanding the needs of your partner. Many books have been written on the subject, but I feel Dr. Chapman approaches these issues on understanding the opposite sex from a new and fresh perspective.
The key to successful relationships of any kind is understanding the other person better, and helping them to learn how to understand you and your ways.
I recommend this book to anyone wishing to enhance their personal relationships and further enrich their lives. A good book for everyone's bookshelf.

Book Review: Duh? Why didn't anybody tell me this before? Summary: 5 StarsThis was what my husband said after he heard the audiobook. I got this CD set for my husband, after I heard about and read the book. It explained one side of common dissatisfaction in the marriage quite well, in a way that we could relate to, plus offered useful tips for solving it. I enjoy reading, but my husband would never sit down and read a book. He likes talk radio, and by listening to the book on CD, he was able to become familiar with the five love languages and how do things in a way that I can acknowledge that he is making an effort to please me. And vice versa. Now he keeps mentioning how he likes to keep my "love tank" full. (a book euphemism for general satisfaction in the marriage)
Book Review: Positively Life Changing!! Summary: 5 StarsAlthough THIS rendition says it's for married couples, the information applies to EVERYONE! This book changed the way I talk and listen to others, how I deal with co-workers, my parents, my friends, the kids I teach, and how I approach new relationships. It's a MUST-READ for anyone who desires to better communicate, or "get people," in general, and more importantly those in our inner circle.
It can be read in a day, even for the slowest of readers, but I caution you: it is jam packed with scenerios and life application. Approach it like a dry sponge to water!
The nice thing about books...you can re-read them and pick-up what you've forgotten, or may have missed, the first time!
Book Review: The Five Love Languages-Men's edition Summary: 5 StarsThis book was recomended by a friend. I found it to be everything expected based on that recomendation and more. I am ordering a dozen copies and giving them to friends because I believe that this book has the ability to change peoples lives in a very positive way. I believe that everyone should read this book as a condition for marriage, and if already married they should read it ASAP to improve the quality of their relationship. I've been married and divorced three times, and never truely understood why until I read this book.
Book Review: Should be required reading. Summary: 5 StarsI was never much on self-help books. This one was recommended to me by a close friend during a time when my marriage was in trouble. It was a great benefit to both my wife and myself. It should be required reading for anyone in a serious relationship, especially those contemplating marriage or married.
