Book Reviews of The Five People You Meet in HeavenBook Review: Food for thought Summary: 4 StarsLovely book which really promotes the thinking processes and makes you realise what an impact each of us can have on others lives. A lovely read.
Book Review: Engaging and Delightful Summary: 5 StarsI read this charming book in one sitting sat in a coffee shop on a Sunday morning. It tells the story of Eddie, a regular guy, who has lived a normal simple life. He has died and gone to heaven and meets the five people whose lives have intertwined with his in the most significant, although not necessarily obvious, ways. Meeting these people in heaven finally brings him peace. The moral of the story is summed up in the last line of the book : "The secret of heaven : that each affects the other and the other affects the next, and the world is full of stories, but the stories are all but one." It's a beautiful, engaging story, delightfully written - perfect for a Sunday morning. You can't help but be left with the question of who would be the five people you would meet in heaven if you died right now?
Book Review: Wonderful Holiday Book Summary: 5 StarsOne of the most dynamic books you could read this season and a wonderful gift if I do say so myself. Inspirational, emotional and melodramatic-it is sure to keep you wanting to read till the very last page. in the beginning of the book, you find the end-the end of a man's life. The author then takes you through the journey of life that led up to this man's demise. very well written. Other picks I have chosen: Nightmares Echo by Katlyn Stewart, A Paper Life by Tatum O'Neil and Hallelujah by Mia Angelou
Book Review: My book of the year. Summary: 5 StarsI bought this book on a recent trip in New York, as friends had already raved about his 'Tuesdays with Morrie'. I rae most of it flying back on the red eye, and kept me capivated for much of the flight. A simple story, which frequently had me in tears. I'd recomended it to anyone who is feels worthless, and like Eddie unfullfilled, hopefully such idea will be diminished by the time thety get to the end of the novel. It got me thinking about who my five peole could be, as well as whose one of five peole I'd be. But it and read it now.
Book Review: Outstanding book - wholeheartedly recommend it Summary: 5 StarsThis book was truly fantastic, one of the best reads i've had in a long while. I was nearly put off by the title, thinking it was going to be too religious and not my kind of thing but i eventually bought it based on a good recommendation. I loved it from start to finish and couldn't put it down. Fabulous.
