Book Reviews of The Front

Book Review: reads like an outline for a book
Summary: 1 Stars

I just forced myself to finish "the front". I found it to be filled with undeveloped characters and plot. Good book to read if you have trouble falling asleep.

Book Review: second book in new series from Cornwell
Summary: 5 Stars

I think this book was a great followup to the first in this series, The Front. I really enjoy these characters -- smart, sexy, sassy. The addition of Stump to the line up --complicating Monique and Win's relationship was perfect. This book has the usual Cornwell brilliance with many different crimes/incidents woven together in the end without any loose ends. I found myself imagining what the characters will look like when the Lifetime movies come out for two books. I recommend these books for a read at the beach or if you read like I do-- in the car while shuffling the kids around!

Book Review: the front
Summary: 1 Stars

I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF MS CORNWELL FOR A LONG TIME, BUT ONCE SHE TRASHED SCARPETTA SHE HAS GONE DOWN HILL. THE FRONT IS A BOOK THAT COULD HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY A 15 YEAR OLD. EITHER SHE HAS WRITERS BLOCK OR HAS JUST LOST IT.
OF COURSE SHE IS NOW RIDING THE COAT TAILS OF ALL HER OTHER BOOKS AND THERE WILL ALL WAYS BE BUYERS. MAY I SUGGEST TAKING A LONG BREAK.

Book Review: unreadable
Summary: 1 Stars

Terrible book! What has happened to Patricia Cornwell? She hasn't written anything worth reading in years. The book is UNREADABLE. Couldn't get through it, and considering it is only 180 pages in faily large font on small pages, that is pretty bad. The story wanders aimlessly with no direction or plot. No one really knows any of the characters or really cares. Years ago I used to look foward to the release of a new Cornwell novel, now after her last few pieces of garbage I could care less.
