Book Review: Cornwell Turns Garbage To Gold Once Again
Summary: 1 Stars

I thought Cornwell could do no worse than Isle of Dogs - The Front was as bad (if not as vulger). The author sells her books because of her name. It seems you can turn out any ridiculous piece of trash and make money, if at one point in your career you were a legitimate author. I believed that James Patterson was the master in this regard, but even he has not produced anything so ridiculous and nonsensical as this book. The positive reviewers who are quoted here must have entirely different standards than I, or have read a different book. I give it 0 stars and resent the time wasted reading it - fortunately however, it was so "cut to the bone" that even with thick paper and big print, there was nothing much to read. Last Cornwell book for me - Renee Wadler

Book Review: Cornwell continues to thrill
Summary: 5 Stars

Patricia Cornwell continues to thrill with her latest novella style book, The Front. The characters are charming and fun and wonderfully developed. I enjoyed reading this book the characters and plot are worth the time.

Book Review: Cornwell crashes and burns
Summary: 1 Stars

Once my favorite writer, Patricia Cornwell has lost her touch. This book is worse than the last, At Risk. Cornwell manages to blast Republicans, Christianity and The Patriot Act. It seems that she has decided to use her books as a forum, albeit one sided for her political agenda. Goodbye Patricia; I did so enjoy the Scarpetta books. The book is also a ripoff at only 180 pages.

Book Review: Cornwell disappoints...
Summary: 1 Stars

Patricia Cornwell has written electrifying novels. She must be getting lazy and trading on her fame because this book is TERRIBLE! It has a poorly constructed and confusing plot, undeveloped and unsympathetic characters, and none of the thrills we have come to expect from her. She left a lot of unresolved questions, or maybe I just didn't get it... Instead of not being able to put it down, it put me to sleep every night quicker than Ambien. The end fizzles like a wet sparkler (and I am being kind here).
Where is the REAL Patricia Cornwell? Will you please stand up? Come back to us!!!

Book Review: Cornwell does it again with The Front
Summary: 5 Stars

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Cornwell's novellas, since I had heard they had a completely different cast of characters from her Scarpetta series, which I love. I read At Risk, and was captivated by the characters and their relationships, and of course, Cornwell's brilliant plot twists. The newest in the series, The Front, takes them through another unusual case, which requires more super sleuthing by Win Garano, Cornwell's hunky hero. Needless to say, I loved the book, can't wait to see more of Nana, and wonder what roads Win and Monique may travel in the future. Don't wait to get this book; its a quick read and a lot of fun.
