Book Review: BEWARE- rather limited list of weapons, and strange choices too
Summary: 3 Stars
The book is fine as far as it goes. The photographs are black and white, and a little fuzzy in places, but perfectly adequate for showing the reader the correct techniques. Some useful hints on things to look out, that might catch you out the first time you strip down a firearm that you aren't familiar with. There is also a useful section on suggested tools to use for dissassembly
My main grouch is that the book covers quite a few unusual types of firearm but excludes some to my mind rather more obvious choices.
In the Pistol section , Colt 1911 series, AMT back up and Wilson ADP are all covered. However, the Beretta PX4 storm is shown, but not the Model 92. The Browning BDA 380 is shown but no mention of the GP35 High Power etc. No mention at all of SIG, Glock, Heckler and Koch pistols.
The two shotguns included are the Benelli M1 semi Auto and the Remi 870. Fine. Good choices. But no Mossbergs,Winchesters, Ithaca pumps. No Remi 11-87 semi Auto.
In the carbines, there are three Kel-Tec models, but no HK MP5.
Seems to be a little out of date, and only what the author could get his hands on, or what he personally has in his collection.
