Book Reviews of The Guy's Guide to Surviving Pregnancy, Childbirth and the First Year of Fatherhood

Book Review: Do Not Buy This Book
Summary: 1 Stars

Shame on this guy for not stepping out of his own skin and having a little sympathy for his pregant wife. I couldn't even finish this book. It reminded me of some guys I play softball with..totally hung up on themselves, avoiding their wives and children, drinking Budweiser and getting away with it. Of all the ignorance. Who prints this crap? File this one under Dumb People Who Write Books.

Book Review: Skip this
Summary: 1 Stars

My husband was given this book when we first got pregnant. Don't be deceived by the title: this book is not informative at all. It is merely a collection of stories about how the author reacted to his wifes pregnancy. It is self-indulgent crap. Crider's writing style tries to be cheeky but just comes off obnoxious.

For a very humorous and informative book for new or future dads, check out the book "Be Prepared: A Practical Handbook for Dads."

Book Review: HYSTERICAL!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this as a baby shower gift for my soon to be mommy friend's hubby. I was laughing out loud in the bookstore when I was skimming through it. HYSTERICAL!!! I'm buying a copy for myself and I'm not even having kids anytime soon. It's a GREAT story!!!

Book Review: Very funny and with heart
Summary: 5 Stars

I was looking for a book for my husband who is just getting used to the idea of us getting pregnant. I didn't want a manual with all kinds of overwhelming facts and scary stories....I wanted something lighthearted that he could relate to and see that he isn't the only guy in the world not knowing what to do with the whole situation.
This book was perfect. I read it and was laughing out loud which I never do. It was a fast easy read with a lot of heart.

Book Review: awesome
Summary: 5 Stars

I just got this book for my boyfriend as an early christmas present. I read it in one setting. It's awesome. Funnier than h***. Good for any new dad or mom.
