Book Reviews of The Hiding Place

Book Review: absolutely amazing
Summary: 5 Stars

I've read quite a few books based on the Holocaust, fiction and nonfiction, but this one is different from any one of them, and any other book I've ever read. It is an amazing journey to following, unique, and one can learn lessons in love, faith, hope, etc from this book. It is truly inspirational and I would recommend it to anyone. Not your typical Holocaust book at all.

Book Review: borring!
Summary: 1 Stars

this is a realy slow book nothing much happens

Book Review: don't read it in the morning
Summary: 3 Stars

This was a interesting book. unless you like over forshadowing this book is preety poorly written. If you are impatient this book is not for you. It is really slow espesial in the begining. If you like a little death this is a good book. And if you have a true belife in God this enforces his miracles.

Book Review: great book!
Summary: 5 Stars

i loved this book! it is probably my new favorite! i would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the holocaust and concentration camps. i could not put it down! overall, a completely awesome book!

Book Review: lots of sadness, but filled of joy
Summary: 5 Stars

This story is heartbreaking - I cry every time I read it. But what makes it so wonderful is how much hope and joy and encouragement it holds as well. This story is told through the eyes of Corrie Ten Boom, who, with her father, sister, and a network of underground Dutch patriots, hide Jews in her home during the Nazi occupation in WWII. Corrie suffers tremendously for her actions, and it is within the confines of a concentration camp that some incredibly profound lessons are learned. One of the beautiful things about this book is how honest Ms. Ten Boom is about her faults and failings in herself and her faith. This is contrasted with the absolutely amazing faith of her father, and her sister Betsie. They trust God completely, and their reactions to the pain and suffering they experience are amazing, almost unbelievable. The Hiding Place is beautifully written, and has become a classic in Christian literature.
