Abigail Hogg does an excellent job explaining horse behavior and what we can do to improve our relationships with horses in this full color book. It is one of the few manual-type books that I've read in which I had a hard time putting it down--I just wanted to keep on reading. She includes case studies which show the application of her recommendations and make it even more interesting.
