Book Reviews of The Horse Whisperer

Book Review: A book to wake the spirit we sometimes forget we have.
Summary: 5 Stars

The best story I have read in a long time. It will awake feelings in the soul you forgot you possessed. All those near and dear to me have a copy of this book -- husband, mother, best friend...

Book Review: A book you can learn a lot
Summary: 5 Stars

The novel "The Horse Wipserer" was one of the greatest books I have ever read in my entire life. The writer wants to illustrate a variety of relationships. For example, we can see the strong relationship that exist between people and animals and between people. What I liked most about this book was the power of some people to understand animals and touch their soul. I have read this book 3 times and I believe that is an excellent book that awakened my sensitiveness.

Book Review: A girl strives to save her ill horse.
Summary: 4 Stars

Grace loved her horse even though she wasn't too fond of the horse's name. One winter morning Grace and her friend, Judith, went on a trail ride. While on it they had to climb an icy hill. On the way up Judith and her horse fell. They slid down the hill and ran into Grace and her horse! Judith's foot was stuck in her stirrup, and a tractor trailer truck was coming right at them. There wasn't enough time for him to stop with the icy roads, and he ran into Judith. Grace's horse, Pilgrim, threw her off of him and the truck hit Pilgrim. It also took off part of Grace's leg. Soon after the group was found, Pilgrim ran off in fear, but he was found. He had damage done to his brain. His skin was all torn off. Grace's mother heard of a Horse Whisperer, a man who could understand and usually help horses. She decided to take Pilgrim and Grace to Montana to see him. She felt he could help them. His name was Tom Booker. Is Mr. Booker able to help Pilgrim get better and help Grace to ride him again? We liked this book a lot because we like horses. We think that horses are beautiful animals and have high spirits. We didn't like it at times because we felt really sad when Grace's best friend died. "He hit the brakes, but not too hard, for he knew that if he made things too sudden the wheels would lock, so he worked the trolley valve on the steering wheel, trying to get drag from the brakes at the back of the trailer." (Evans, page 23) By Kassia and Ashley

Book Review: A good book with interesting information
Summary: 4 Stars

I was intrigued with the title and got it mixed up with "The Man Who Talks to Harses." I found this book to be very riveting as well as entertaining and didn't really cry till the end. There are many life changes when a tragedy happens in a family and this one was a little more drastic but possible. It was nice to see that it didn't end up as a fairy tale which really hit home. I found this to be a very good book - one to curl up and read on a bad weather day!

Book Review: A good start culminating in a disappointing end.
Summary: 3 Stars

The story starts off on a fine morning.....u actually begin to sense something's gonna happen....a sort of premonition. I liked Annie's character. She's a strong willed women, who took it upon herself to rehabilitate Grace with the help of Tom Booker. The narration was good. But the end was disappointing.
