Book Review: A Must Read Summary: 5 Stars
The Hunger Games was absolutely awesome. It's been a long time since I have read a book and had difficulty putting it down. The suspence drove me crazy. I wanted to find out about the games in the arena yet I was afraid. As soon as I finished The Hunger Games I had to buy it and the second one Catching Fire. I cannot wait for the third book.
Book Review: A Must Read for all Ages!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Amazing book! Absolutely captivating! This was one book that I could not put down. This is a story about a dystopian society which is ruled by a "big brother" of sorts. It details the journey of a young girl who is forced to go through an annual competition called the Hunger Games! Suzanne Collins is a master at catching your attention right from the beginning and leading the reader through an epic tale of adventure, love, and rebellion! 5 stars!
Book Review: A Page Turner Summary: 5 Stars
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a transfixing, thrilling read.
The Hunger Games is a novel revolving around a yearly mandatory event known as the "hunger games." These games serve as a reminder that the districts must do as the Capitol demands. Children chosen to participate in the games range in age from 12-18 and are decided at the "reaping," a district occurrence where names are called at random. Each district has to send one boy and one girl as a competitor in the games. Only one person can survive the game which consists of a battle to the death. The trials and tribulations of the children, or "tributes," are many; from gathering food, water, shelter and most importantly staying alive.
Two protagonists, Katniss and Peeta are two contenders that will have your heart and keep you reading fast and furious to see the outcome.
No interruptions will be tolerated because not only is the plot engrossing but the characters are endearing, people whom you'd like as friends. There is some violence in this book but nothing too explicit or too bloody.
Waiting for the second book will surely necessitate discovery of some top notch authors!
Book Review: A Page Turner to the End! Summary: 5 Stars
Being there are over 600 reviews I won't bore everyone with the same words. Yes, I loved it. Yes, I couldn't put it down. Yes, I will see the movie when it comes out. But, to sum up "Hunger Games"? I'd use this equation:
The Running Man+"Big Brother"+The Long Walk=Hunger Games.
