Book Reviews of The Instruction: Living the Life Your Soul IntendedBook Review: Somewhat Simplistic Summary: 3 StarsThis book was ok. Oprah interviewed the author on her soul series, which was enjoyable and very interesting, hence I ordered the book. If you like lists and categories, and if you're somewhat new to spiritual exploration, you'll probably like this book. However, I was disappointed by some of the simplistic explanations for very profound topics.
For example, the author states (based on what his guides reveal) that the age of the soul is the result of number of lifetimes on earth. Put another way, when our soul begins its incarnations on planet earth, it is young or new; many incarnations imply an older, wiser soul. What isn't explained is the nature of the soul, and what happenned before it incarnated here. Aren't our souls essentially eternal and infinite? Did we choose other experiences that influenced us before coming here? In other words, the implication (from this book) is that our existance only started with our first incarnation on planet earth! Personally, this is an area I would have liked addressed in the book.
Book Review: Biased and insightful all mixed up together Summary: 4 StarsIt's interesting and worth reading, but I think it invokes a part of us that likes to compare and consider ourselves better or inferior to others. Macleod clearly tried not to be biased and to make it seem as though we are all equals. Is there ever a lack of bias in one's perspective?
Book Review: INTERESTING Summary: 3 StarsI enjoyed reading this book it was fun and interesting. It did get a little lengthy toward the end and I found myself loosing interest.
all in all it was an enjoyable read since I find things like this very intreguing.
Book Review: Being true to your Soul Summary: 4 StarsAinslie MacLeod's book, "The Instruction, Living the Life Your Soul Intended" is a guiding light in an uncertain world. By connecting to my spiritual quides, I am directed to more choices that are insync with my soul's purpose. Not what my family or friends want me to do, but what is good for my developement and education. To better understand your Soul's intention for yourself in this lifetime, to breakthrough the illusions that hold you back, and to live a more spiritual life, is what this Instruction is all about. I recommend this book to everyone. It helps us raise our conscienceness and live our lives in the love house and not in the fear house. Everyone's journey should include reading this book.
Book Review: Very pleased Summary: 5 StarsThis book met all my expectations. Easy reading. Informative. and effective. It delivers on it's promisies
