Book Review: an unbiased business reader

I am neither a fan nor a critic of Colin Powell, but am deeply interested in leadership and strategy. So I was eager to buy this book, certainly it looked impressive with some remarkably intelligent quoates. I should have known by now however don't judge a book by it's cover.In the forward the authour takes great pains to point out that this is not a book about Powell nor is it written or endorsed by him, and after finishing it I wondered if he had even read it. Don't get wrong some of the book is good, it is basicly written from emails, letters and conversation the authour and Powell had and from this the authour inserts small statments by him "helpfully" in bold (so you can skip the authours ramblings).
I effect the whole book is ruined by the authours, incoherent, badly written rambling style.
What could have been a good book, read the bold bits, and then you might get a reasonable couple of pages for your money.
