DEREK JETER PRODUCES A BOOK WITH A TON OF GOOD THINGS TO HELP IN EVERYDAY LIFE. HIS ATTITUDE AND POSITIVE THINKING ARE VERY ADDICITIVE. DEREK IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF HOW A CHILD SHOULD BE RAISED. HIS PARENTS ARE TOTALLY DEDICATED TO MAKING SURE THEIR CHILDREN ARE FULL OF LIFE AND CONFIDENCE. CUDOS FOR MR AND MRS JETER, A JOB WELL DONE. DEREK'S TALENT AND HUMBENESS ARE WELL KNOWN AND HIS DEDICATION TO HELPING CHILDREN IS GREAT. THE WORLD NEEDS A ZILLION MORE LIKE HIM. The book I have read is called The Life You Imagine by Jack Curry is a great biography. I recommend this bokk to everyone. One reason I liked the book is because its about baseball and Derek Jeter plays for my favorite baseball team the New York Yankees. Another reason I liked this book is its all about Derek Jeters life. It tells you how and what Jeter went through to make it to the majors. One minor thing I didn't like about the book is that they talked about Derek Jeter when he was about 8 years old. The told me about what teams he was on and how he was doing in school at that time. I hated baseball and especially the Yankees all of my life. And I was born in Manhattan and raised in the Bronx. This book changed everything. Really. I was so impressed and amazed at the upbringing of this young man, that I actually started watching baseball games to see how he had turned out. Apparently he is doing just fine.
This book should be mandatory reading for every young person 12 years old and counting. It is enjoyable, amusing and informative, without being preachy. It makes you think about your own actions, your own words and how they affect those around you, and ultimately yourself.
I am so jealous that I didn't have parents as dedicated as Derek Jeter's. They are truly the inspiration of this story. And they must be so proud of their son, and their daughter.
This book changed my life. I love baseball. But mostly I love the family unit that developed a promising young athlete into the successful, centered and grounded young man that is Derek Jeter. Terrific work. Excellent outcome. Wonderful book.
