Book Reviews of The Lord of the Rings (50th Anniversary Edition)Book Review: Lord of the rings Summary: 5 StarsThis book is a work of art. I am using this book as a way to get my son to love books and have been reading it out loud to him. We just finished book one and are enjoying every minute. I like unfolding the map and showing him where the hobbits are. $50 is nothing compared to the value that this book is bringing to my time with my son.
Book Review: No final inspection - folded pages Summary: 2 StarsThe edges of the first twenty pages were folded and the first red page even torn. I ordered it from Switzerland, shipping it back costs 30$. Too much for a 50$ book.
Book Review: Lord of the Rings (50th anniversary edition) Summary: 5 StarsMost execellent book, brought back memories of the first time I read the book Back in 1978
Book Review: beautiful classic Summary: 5 StarsThis is the most amazing copy of this book I have ever found. Fold outs, gold lined pages, leather bound. I am thrilled!
Book Review: Glued up maps Summary: 1 StarsWhen I received my copy of what should be a marvellous edition I found that the folded maps back and front were glued down so would need to be potentially badly torn to open out. Has anyone else had a similar copy?
