I'd been looking for this book forever, so when I found it at amazon.com, I ordered it right away. I admitt, I was a little annoyed with the in-your-face cover, but the poetry made up for it. One can only marvel at the perceptions with which Jim Morrison viewed the world. While fragmented, and a little spacey, the poetry still gave me a feeling for the era in the United States which sparked such fueled aggression.Book Review: this book is my life

This book of well tought out poetry and stories give a fan of Jim or the Doors (like myself) to get a great insight into where the songs, lyrics and insperation came from. Some people see Jim Morrison as a tug or rebal but after reading this book you see he is an intellagent and very tallented poet. Great book, great read, great person! Jim Morrison 1943-1971 RIP
