Book Reviews of The Lords and the New CreaturesBook Review: A book of masterful and powerful content! Summary: 5 StarsI found this book "The Lords and the New Creatures" absolutely brilliant. The style that it was written in made it very intriguing and interesting. It is easy to find Jim Morrison's incredible talent within a few pages. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has an openmind.
Book Review: Puerile maunderings of a nearly talentless narcissist Summary: 1 StarsThese "poems" are so bad, so puerile, so schlocky, so self-indulgent, that it is no wonder that thousands of disturbed teenagers carry them around clutched to their chests. Morrison speaks for the all the disaffected but talentless millions who ever lived. His thoughts are their thoughts; his pointless word-salads apparently strike deep, thrilling chords of banality in the unthinking. Don't read the book; read the other reviews of it posted here, and you will get the full flavor of the Morrison "mystique."
Book Review: this book is my life Summary: 5 Starsthis book is the epitimy of godliness.... jim morrison is the only one in the world who has ever known the meaning of life..."we are the lizard queens and we can do many things"....if you all could understand the importance of this book then the world would be a lovely place....we love you all...qurrn=sarah+sarah
Book Review: Fragmented writings of a lost soul Summary: 5 StarsI'd been looking for this book forever, so when I found it at amazon.com, I ordered it right away. I admitt, I was a little annoyed with the in-your-face cover, but the poetry made up for it. One can only marvel at the perceptions with which Jim Morrison viewed the world. While fragmented, and a little spacey, the poetry still gave me a feeling for the era in the United States which sparked such fueled aggression.
Book Review: abstractions in symphony , brilliant Summary: 5 StarsA true voice of america, a view point not often seen, heard or understood. Sit with this book, under the stars, or with the ocean waves pulsing at your feet, and the meanings will flow through you like liquid lightning. Slow down, read it, think about the dazzling words, and the more incrediable images Jim paints with his unique language... america misses bold poets like these... long live morrison . . . read it . . .
