Book Reviews of The Lords and the New CreaturesBook Review: This is a very interesting collection of Jim's Poetry. Summary: 3 StarsHowever it is not better poetry as found on the AMERICAN PRAYER album. Jim's poetry is very abstract and the meaning of the poems are often associative and difficult to understand. It is interesting because these poems were written while Jim was in film school and released while he was still alive. I am disappointed that the original cover was changed where before there was a picture of him wearing a beard which had him more poetic looking.

Book Review: Cold Finland at Christmastime 18.12.1998 Summary: 5 Stars`Cause English isn't my real language, I didn't understand all the words, but those I did... The World lost a lot when it lost Jim. He was a poet, singer, incredibly good lookin', but most of all the Poet. I've never read anything like that in my hole life, and I never will. He was something really special and his poetry... WOW! Dark, but not too much. Love, hate, all the powerful feelings. Feelings that matter. You oughta read this if you haven't done it yet.
Book Review: jim is god. Summary: 5 Starsjim was THE best poet of this century. not to mention the founder of modern rock and roll. his early death was a tragic loss for mankind. but his music and his words live on thru books like this and the music of the doors. someday jim will be revered as shakespeare, frost, dante, or rumi. he was way above their league...
Book Review: Jim Morrison at work Summary: 5 StarsTo even begin to scratch the surface of trying to understand Jim Morrison of The Doors, you must read this book. Your journey will include listening to the CDs, of course, and even reading what others have written about him and the other members of the band. There is an incredible number of books about Morrison and the Doors--more than almost every other rock artists, I would guess. But you will be seeing and hearing only part of the picture until you read the first widely published volume of Morrison's musings-- his own writings in his own words, unadulterated and unfiltered.
