Eon Colfer expands our character base in the latest Artemis book. Thereby expanding the possibilities in his upcoming July book. A future love interest for Artemis, Will Butler be out of the game, Will Artemis have new competitors in intrigue & deceit from his own clan? We need to wait and see. I don't think this was the best one out of the series but as fans do - not reading it was out of the question.Book Review: Artemis Fowl Is Back

After four books the Artemis Fowl series has been running lean. My fav one before this was number 3 The Eternity Code, but as soon as I even go half-way through this book it became my fav. The Lost Colony puts Artemis and his friends through the same activity they have been doing most of their life, Saving the World. This time it is Saving the World from a colony of angry and wild Demons trying to attack Earth. Lost Colony goes through ride of plot twists and action till the final confrontation is made. Lost Colony is a spectacular ride through Intense Action, Humor, Intwined with a little romance.
Eion Colfer does the best job he has ever done as a writer in this one as it is a must read.

This Book was phenomenal. I mean there were mystery, humor, and cliffhanger chapters. I try to think of something bad in this book but, I can't because it was so good.
Well for those of you that haven't read the other four books in the series, (really should) Artemis Fowl is a boy genius. In this book he has discovered a tear and that he is about to become a man. The book is mostly centered on the tear but, every once in a while you get a puberty joke. Anyways he finds out that the tear is a way for these stranded demons to get to the earth's dimension. Unfortunately that means that the Fairy world will be exposed to the humans and destroyed by them. So then the reuniting of Holly Short -the elf ex-police officer- and the brilliant Artemis along with his body guard Butler and the dwarf Mulch. They will do all that they can to save the Fairy World. Before they can save the Fairies Artemis must face something that he has never seen before. An 11 year old girl who is just as smart as he is.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense. This book is the best of the series and if you haven't read all of them then you should.
