Book Review: Weird dreams and murder

Although 'The Lost Mind' is part of Pike's teenage series, this book is definitely aimed at the more mature young adult- with the theme of the book being based around drugs and their deadly effects. There is also a lot more in-depth bloodshed detail in this book than Pike's other stories. However, if you're squeamish, don't let any of this put you off- 'The Lost Mind' is still an essential, intelligent read.The Story-
Jennifer Hobbs awakes in a wood beside the dead body of her best friend, Crystal Denger. Crystal has been stabbed over and over again. A knife is present. There are even knife marks on Jennifer's hand- yet she has no recollection of murdering Crystal. In fact, she has no memory of anything whatsoever- not even who she is, where she lives or who her family are...
This book is one of Pike's must-reads (then again, most of them are!). However- some parts of the book move very slowly and disrupt the pace- hence my rating of four stars and not five. All in all, a great book that Pike fans will love.
