Book Reviews of The Lost World

Book Review: A great adventure
Summary: 4 Stars

Although this book is excellent, I have to say that it is not as good as it's predecessor, maybe it's because we've read and heard the storyline before or the idea of creating dinosaurs has worn off, but either way it's still a good read. Once again, Crichton's opening argument to win over the audience and make them believe that Dinosaurs could've survived is totally believable. One of the biggest problems with the book, I thought, were the characters. I found it extremely difficult to actually like them. Apart from some minor problems, Crichton's 'The Lost World' is a worthy sequel to Jurassic Park, and I would suggest this book to any book-lover.

Book Review: A great book, not as good as the first, better than the movie.
Summary: 5 Stars

The book was great! Much better than the movie. I don't know why they made the movie so horrible. Read the book and you will have very little appreciation for the movie. I recomend this action packed novel for anyone who's read Jurassic Park.

Book Review: A great followup to Jurassic Park
Summary: 4 Stars

Its not deep. Its not full of unexpected plot twists. The character development is shallow at best. But its a hell of a lot of fun to read.

Book Review: A great sci-fi type novel!
Summary: 4 Stars

This book was amazing!Michael Crichton is a very smart writer.I loved the action and suspense. It starts off kinda slow but ends up really fast-paced and just amazing.I couldn't put it down! I recommend it to anyone who loves reading fast-paced action/adventure novels.

Book Review: A great work in Hard SF.
Summary: 4 Stars

The Lost World continues where Jurassic Park leaves off. Ian Malcome (love his little speeches), and a few others discover a second island where most of the 'production' took place and they embark to make sure that this island is not swarming with dinosaurs now that the Jurassic Park is destroyed. Kudos for flawless science, but I'm gonna have to dock a star for style.
