Book Review: Lovely Bones
Summary: 5 Stars

A very good book!!! It's definitely great since it tells the book through the dead girl's view!!!

Book Review: Lovely Bones
Summary: 5 Stars

Only start this book if you have time to read it thru...I loved it and couln't put it down. I heard they are making a movie based on this book. The movies never are as good as the real story. I loved this book and will read it again.

Book Review: Lovely Bones = Lovely Book
Summary: 5 Stars

I was interested throughout the whole book. Kept me on my feet. I love how strange and twisted it can be at sometimes ,but I also loved the hidden sincerity hidden beneath its controversial complexity.

Book Review: Lovely Bones....
Summary: 3 Stars

Liked the author's writing...the story is sad but gripping enough to bring you into the story and want some closure! Unfortunately, the ending really doesn't give what we need as readers. There are some weird parts about heaven and then the strange sex scebe chapter.... that really through me off but if that was edited out of the book it would be a 4star book.

There is some profanity, ghost possession sex, and the violent rape/murder discribed.

Book Review: Lovely book
Summary: 5 Stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It provides a realistic view of grief instead of a sugar coated version that many of us like to read, myself included. I only see movies with happy endings :), so I typically wouldn't read a book such as this one, but I couldn't put it down. Yes, I did cry and cry and cry at the beginning of the book and many times throughout. As others have stated, the book doesn't tie up into a neat little bow at the end which I think is a more accurate portrayal of real life, even if it leaves your heart aching at the end. I could do without the "supernatural" part of the book, but I can overlook that given the beauty of the rest of the book. It is NOT a book for all ages (I'd say not for under 16). I read the book a couple of years ago and one of the lines stuck with me so much that I've kept it written down ever since. The parents are having a hard time comforting each other after the death of their daughter because "before they had never been broken together." I may not have that quoted exactly right as I don't have it in front of me, but that's the idea. It's so poignant to me and something I had never thought about - the idea that in a relationship one person usually comforts the other, but in a situation like this where they share the same grief, neither is able to provide comfort to the other. That's powerful. This book is not a "fun" read, but it's a must read.
