Book Review: A Guilty Pleasure

Luxe is an exciting new series made for young adults that is like a guilty pleasure for adults as well. This series is a lot like the Gossip Girl set, but it is more of a historical version of the rich and poor lives of teens during the year 1899. The characters are just like many teens of today and face the same situations such as scandals, love, appearances, money, and popularity contests. The only strange but interesting part of the story is the fact that these rich upper-class girls sneak around and are having sexual relations with other teens including a servant coachman. This is very unrealistic, because in the past the teenagers were much more supervised and were taught not to act a certain way and more than often followed to not risk their reputations. This book is a great read for all ages except for the younger preteen and below crowd due to all the sexual content.
