Book Review: Great kids books on CD

My kids (4 and 6) love The Magic Treehouse books. These CDs were a treat so they could continue to "read" after the lights are out. The only drawback: my 4-year-old son gets so involved in the stories that he has had hard time falling asleep. I worried the kids wouldn't want to listen once they'd read the books one time -- not a concern ... we listen over and over and over.Book Review: My kids loved this

I bought this for my 7yr old twins. They can't read the books on their own just yet. However, with the CDs, they have "read" the first 4 books in a matter of days. They have even hooked a few of their friends on the Magic Treehouse books in the process. Book Review: Peaceful Car Trips and more.....

I have four children - ages 5, 3 1/2, and 19 months (twins); I bought these cd's for the main purpose of making car rides more enjoyable and they worked like a charm. My two older children are asking to listen to the stories rather than watch TV, which is such a blessing! They are even asking to listen to them when they go to bed.
The only downside is that some of the stories are split between 2 disks, which makes it difficult when they want to listen to a particular story at bedtime or if they want to listen to stories in different rooms.
Overall the set was well worth the money!
Book Review: My sons favourite stories!

I got this CD when my son was just 4, he is almost 5 now, I thought it would be too old for him, but he loves it! (HE is a real book worm), He listens to it everyday, whilst he eats his lunch, he knows nearly all the words by heart! I have just ordered the next CD set for a trip we are making from WA to S.CA, it should keep him well occupied, he is a very "busy" child and it is one of the only ways I can get him to sit still while he eats!
The only thing that does 'bug me' is the amount of times the author says "said Jack", or "said Annie"! If you listen to the stories, you will understand what I mean!
