These are fantastic books and the fact that they are all in one volume (that isn't too hefty) means they are easily transportable, so you can enjoy them anytime, anywhere. I would recommend you buy volume 2 at the same time, so you can continue the journey as quickly as possible. I couldn't put them down!Eddings is a brilliant writer who never fails to deliver a enjoyable story that keeps you turning the pages.
Highly recommendable to all fantasy genre lovers, and for fantasy first-timers a good place to start!

I absolutly love this series! I think it compliments the Belgariad wonderfully and really allows the central charaters to develop furhter. Would recommend that the Belgariad is read first.Book Review: David did it again!
