Book Reviews of The Manga Cookbook: Japanese Bento Boxes, Main Dishes and More!Book Review: For entertainment and Beginner Summary: 4 Stars
This is a book for manga fans, not for professional cooks.
Because mostly this manga cookbook is a book for manga-fan cooks, as well as for beginner, I recommend this book for those who like manga and cook at the same time.
If you are a professional cook or want to become a professional cook already, you should only buy this book for entertainment.
If you have no interest in manga, then this book is not for you.

Book Review: Fun To Cook With! Summary: 4 Stars
This book was fun to cook with and I loved the way they presented the recipes. The only problem I had with it was really making things taste good. I live in an area with regular grocery stores and had trouble finding some of the tougher ingredients. I made a couple of the things and they were great, but when it came to the rice flour balls they tasted awful.... I followed the recipe exactly. I was really disappointed as I've always heard they taste good and was so excited. Maybe I expected too much out of rice flour. Otherwise This is a great book and I recommend making everything else in it!
Book Review: Good Start: 4 Reasons Summary: 4 Stars
I love this book. To start off:
1. Has a good variety of different foods. Meaning that it covers all nutritional aspects down to desert.
2. Gives amount of calories per serving.
3. Clear fun interactive instructions on how to prepare a dish. For example, one or more of the main characters, as shown on the cover, walk you comically through each step of preparation.
4. Gives description of ingredients, where to find them, and what could be used as an alternative.
Overall, the book contained many of the recipes that I find in my vast manga collection. However, there are still some recipes that I would have liked to have seen included in this book. Nonetheless, this manga style cookbook, wonderfully combines an ample amount of the most widely employed dishes in both anime and manga of all genres.
Book Review: Graphics and Content mix well in cohesive goodness Summary: 5 Stars
Lots of good manga pictures and interesting recipes. While this is a recipe book on one hand, on the other hand, it can also serve as something that can be read and enjoyed for its pictural content. I would imagine it would be really good if you had youngsters in the house. Kind of wish it had some color content. Recipes are easy to follow. And enjoyable to just sit down and flip through to relax.
Book Review: Great Book! Summary: 5 Stars
Terrific book for begginers like me. Really fun to read and gives clear instructions. Terrific, I recommend this book.
