Book Reviews of The Mists of AvalonBook Review: A Keeper Summary: 4 Stars
I read this book a while ago and have kept it to re-read. While it does give the story from a female point of view, please read The Crystal Cave first. You will then have a full circle view!
Book Review: A Lifetime Summary: 5 Stars
To be perfectly honest, I didn't enjoy myself entirely while reading Mists because there are times when the language was too much for me. But then something would grab me. Something about the humanistic traits of the characters. Every one of them has some demon that they have to deal with, either emotional, religious, or in dealings with other people. Morgaine became a real person to me, and I wish that I could have a real conversation with her, just to get her insight on what life is like. Her tale is one of love, vengeance, anger, happiness (though it is few and far between), and prophecy. Who could ask for more, eh? But in all seriousness, if Marion Zimmer Bradley was still alive, I would be the first one in line to have a simple conversation about the magic that this book is.
Book Review: A Living Story Summary: 5 Stars
Of all the books I read about Camelot and it's time, MZ Bradley's book comes truest to life. I can almost feel the pathway leading up to the circle of stones that separates the worlds between the old ways and the christian ways. Marion Zimmer Bradley gives a realistic if not feminist look at the history of Cornwall. She makes magic a natural way for the people while explaining why the brutal downfall of Camelot and the disapperance of magic must take place. The voice the author uses through Morgaine is new to common belief. Morgaine now becomes a woman, a mother, and a victim of destiny, bearing the terrible resposibility of a priestess.Definitly one of the best ever.

Book Review: A Masterpiece Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of the most beautifully written and crafted books I have ever read. The characters are so real you feel as if you know them, the narrative so well woven that you want to read the whole novel in one sitting. I was sad when I finished it because I didn't want it to end. From start to finish, an incredibly moving, enchanting masterpiece. There is nothing I can say that would praise this book highly enough.
