Book Review: A Great Addition To My Golf Library

I took a chance on this book after seeing the glowing reviews here on Amazon. I'm a budding golf instructor and feel it's my duty to read up on all the great instructional books out there. I'm very glad I followed the advice of the reviewers here as I found the book to be a great resource as a golfer and teacher.
If you take the game serious enough to purchase instructional books, then you're probably trying to improve your golf game on your own to some degree. This book is really written for the self taught golfer in mind. It lays out the aspects of the golf swing that are negotiable and non-negotiable, and then lets the reader decide what they want to do with the information. Mr. Laurentino explains in great detail why there are aspects of the swing that are negotiable, but he also explains how altering these negotiable aspects can affect your golf shots. He also explains the non-negotiable aspects of the golf swing and reveals why these aspects are fundamental to all great golf swings. A lot of this information is not new or ground breaking, but it's well organized, written clearly, and highly relevant for the modern swing. Very few books in my collection can fit in all three of these categories.
I think that mid and high handicap players looking to understand how the golf swing works can get there money's worth with this book if they take the time to understand the concepts. Even low handicap players like myself can get a lot of good information from this book as it's a great reminder that you don't need to have a swing like Tiger's to shoot low scores.
