Book Review: A genuine, original, masterpiece

Forget the cruddy film version of a view years back and read this. It's pure genius. Don't think it's just for children either. I guarantee you'll love this book whatever age you are. It's one of the most unputdownable books I've ever read. The story is about a boy, Bastian, who steals a mysterious book from a mysterious bookshop and hides in the school attic to read it. Strange things start to happen to him as he reads - it's as if the characters are calling out to him... Then suddenly he steps through the pages and into Fantastica. This is not a rip off of the Chronicles of Narnia or anything else - it's a beautifully told genuine, original masterpiece. I urge you to read it.Book Review: A fantastic read

I have read this book a lot of times, and I find it new and amazing every time I hold it in my hands. The Neverending Story is not just ONE story. As you read it, you will join a magical journey which will take you from one incredible adventure to another. You will visit wonderful places, where you would live in forever ; you will encounter fantastic characters, that you would wish to be your friends in real life. I am sure that as soon as you finish the book, you will go straight back to the beginning to read it again. When I first read this book, I picked it up and read right through the whole thing in one day. I read a lot, and I still clasify this as a classic, and one of the best books I ever read, without a doubt. Michael Ende's books are unique and imaginitive, full of strange creatures and happenings in the kingdom with endless counties. Bastian, the hero, is a normal, unperfect boy with no friends and a vivid imagination. In the adventure he enters, he finds out who he is and who he wants to be. A must read!Book Review: fantastic!

I remember how this book kept me on the edge of my seat when I first read it about 15 years ago - I was almost shouting out loud at Bastian! And I was an adult - not a child. Harry Potter does not come even near to Bastian. It just goes to show how hype works.
